History
Betsy Franck, an Athens veteran continues to break new ground with each musical effort. In 2002, Franck asserted her North Carolina experience into a (5) song ep entitled "Sweeping up the Porch", which exhibits a large bluegrass influence. Next the 2003 album "Held Up by Progress" recorded by John Keane, was more Honky tonk, giving the BKB's sound an infusion of electric sound. In the (7) years that followed, Betsy experienced a lot of life, jolting quite a bit of emotion into the latest (2) releases, "Still Waiting released in March 2010, and Francks first solo effort "This Far" due to be released in the coming months. Now the band is back in the studio recording another solid work with songwriting from Franck and collaborations with many of Athens Georgia's greatest musicians, this album is sure to propel The BareKnuckle Band even further into the National music scene.
